Please join us for our 2026 ABC Friends NSW & ACT Annual General Meeting. Our guest speaker will be Professor Bridget Griffen-Foley, co-editor of Our ABC, a book about the history of our national broadcaster to 1983 and how it has interpreted and reflected almost every aspect of Australian life. Copies of Our ABC will be available to purchase on the day.
As part of our 50th birthday celebrations past Emeritus Professor Ed Davis, AM will lead a tribute to past presidents and long serving executive members.
If you would like to nominate for a position on the NSW & ACT Committee please fill out a nomination form and email it to our Returning Officer, Nizza Siano or post it to PO Box 54, Waverley, NSW 2024. Nominations close on Friday 13 November.
We will be voting on a change to the Friends of the ABC (NSW&ACT) Constitution at the AGM to align our objects with our national body, ABC Friends Limited. Details of the proposed change to the Constitution can be found here.
